The Transfer Center at Santa Barbara City College is an information center designed to offer assistance to students considering transfer to a four-year institution. In addition to transfer information the center provides a variety of programs and services which include:
Articulation
Degree Audit Reporting System, DARS where you can check your academic progress towards IGETC, CSU-GE, SBCC General Education, and Major at SBCC.
The Transfer Achievement Program (TAP)

The Transfer Center hosts a variety of events including:
(TAGs) Currently SBCC has agreements with 7 University of California campuses, 2 California State University campuses, and 1 private/independent college.
A TAG is a contract between a student in attendance at Santa Barbara City College and receiving a baccalaureate granting institution to which the student intends to transfer.
The agreement may ensure admission to a transfer university a year or two in advance. Some agreements require forms and may have separate deadlines.
Selecting a General Education Pattern of courses for Transfer
General Education (G.E) is a pattern of courses determined by a 4-year institution to represent its "general" or "breadth" philosophy of what constitutes a well-educated graduate. Each college has its own philosophy of education; this is its own G.E. pattern.
