Financial Aid / Scholarships
Current Scholarship:
- Application for Santa Barbara City College Foundation Scholarships are available now until March 2, 2012. You can apply online at www.sbcc.edu/scholarships
- Priority filing date for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)-- March 2, 2012
Book Grants:
Transfer Achievement Program students are eligible to receive financial aid assistance with the cost of books. Book assistance are offered Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. Book grant awards range from $100-$300 for Fall and Spring. Summer term assistance range from $75 - $175. Our selection criteria is as follows:
- Must be enrolled at SBCC.
- Must be an active participant of TAP (attend semester follow-up meetings).
- Financial aid needed.
- Quality essay and ability to effectively answer the essay questions.
Scholarships:
Transfer Achievement Program students are also eligible for several scholarships. Scholarships searches can be explored by making an appointment with a TAP counselors or advisor. For current TAP students during the SBCC scholarships filing period (January 1st - March 2nd) students are eligible to apply to the Henry and Rose Gessner Scholarship awarded to an active TAP student. Each year Henry and Rose Gessner provide two $500 awards to our students.
