Vision:
The Communication Department of Santa Barbara City College is committed to excellent teaching that provides a stimulating environment for student learning in theoretical and pragmatic applications of communication education.
Mission:
1. Provide superior education to a diverse student population that meets the primary mission of transfer education and A.A. completion.
2. Support both faculty and students in the pursuit of continuing education to better their lives and adapt to the changing demands of the future.
3. Encourage students and faculty to use their communication knowledge and skills toward positive social change.
