Transfer Scholars Club

Your Peer-to-Peer Transfer Connection

Created in March 2011, the University Transfer Scholars Club aligns with SBCC's mission statement to promote and carry out activities to increase the transfer rate.  We strive to educate our members and the SBCC community about the various paths to transferring to a four-year institution.

The University Transfer Scholars Club provides SBCC students with an extracurricular opportunity for socializing and networking with fellow transfer students. The club offers a range of activities, including field trips, social gatherings, and fundraising efforts to support scholarships.
The club's fundraisers and social media initiatives will provide essential support and services that students may need to achieve academic, social, and financial success.

Bowling  ● Date and Time TBD
Please bring $10 for shoe rentals; we will cover the lanes!

Hike ● Date and Time TBD
After several weather-induced cancellations, we will go for that hike! Please bring a friend and join us for some fresh air and exercise! Stephen's Park is where the Jesusita Trailhead begins. Club members, let’s plan to meet at Steven's Park, where the Jesusita trailhead begins.
The hike takes about 2.5 hours round trip, so it still gives you plenty of time to head back and have a fun Friday night.  Bring comfortable walking/running shoes and water.
