The final program price depends on the number of students enrolled in the program.
Includes: Housing in double/triple occupancy rooms in shared student apartments with kitchen, bathroom and general living area, welcome and farewell dinners, Rome transit passes, housing during spring break, required field trips and excursions, breakfast on overnight excursions, airport transfers, limited access to a computer lab with Internet access and study room with WIFI access, M–F and entrances.
Not included: Round-trip airfare, transportation to and from LAX, $200 refundable security deposit, passport fees, visa fees, required health and travel insurance (students who carry costly laptops, cameras, cell phones and other valuables are strongly encouraged to purchase private insurance, which will cover them for any losses due to theft, damage, or other causes), SBCC registration fees (non-residents are required to pay out-of-state or out-of-country fees), textbooks, food, personal expenses and any other expenses not specifically listed as included.
Financial Aid. If you need financial assistance to participate in the Italy study abroad program, go to the Financial Aid Office and begin financial aid paperwork early. It takes the Financial Aid Office a minimum of 4-6 weeks to process your paperwork and determine your eligibility for aid. Please see our website for additional information about financial aid at http://www.sbcc.edu/financialaid/. You may also inquire about loans. A limited number of Study Abroad scholarships may be available to students who qualify for financial aid.
Financial Aid students must submit the $250 non-refundable first payment
with their application and may contact ACCENT to discuss possible deferment
of remaining payments. Financial Aid is not available through ACCENT.
