Sarah Boggs has been teaching English Literature and Writing for 18 years. After earning her B.A. in English Literature at UC Santa Barbara, she earned an M.A. in Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing at CSU, Chico. As a graduate student at Chico she discovered a passion for teaching students to write and returned to UC Santa Barbara to earn her Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Composition Studies. Sarah taught at CSU, Chico, UCSB, City College of San Francisco, and UC Berkeley before taking a full time position with SBCC in 2013. When she's not teaching Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Peter, and their two children, Madeleine and Grace and their family dog, Saint. After a family trip to Italy in 2016 Sarah and her family have all started learning Italian, cooking pasta and generally trying to be more like the Italians they met while there! Sarah looks forward to sharing her passion for writing and Italy with the students who join her program!
