Student Legal Center
Do you have any lingering legal troubles that may interfere with your educational
process? If so, there is help available!
The Student Legal Center, located in the Office of Student Life, has an attorney available
for you to confidentially speak with for free. You can ask her questions about your
landlord, a citation you received, a case you want to expunge, your employment, immigration,
family law, etc. Drop in consultations are welcome, but appointments are preferred.
Please call 805-730-4062 to schedule a time to meet. You will feel a lot better
after you speak with the lawyer and unload some of the burden you may carry from an
unresolved legal issue.

The Student Legal Center is located in The Office of Student Life in CC 217. Stop

Does it cost anything?
Students must purchase an Activity Sticker for $10 at the Cashiers Window located in the Student Service building SS150.
What are the hours?
Appointment are from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Tuesdays.

Who can use the Student Legal Center?
Any student enrolled at SBCC who is interested in obtaining free information or legal
advice on an issue concerning them.
Student Legal Center attorneys cannot advise on student versus student matters or
student versus SBCC issues.
