The 2008 Santa Barbara City College Softball squad will begin its 10th season under the direction of Head Coach Paula Congleton and Assistant Coach Bill Hilliard and Peter Aguilar. The Vaqueros are returning only two sophomores but have a group of 18 talented and eager freshmen looking to continue the success of 2006, 2007 team qualifying for Regional Post Conference Championships. The Vaqueros lead the conference last year in batting with a .337 average and added 5 players to the All-WSC Conference Team. Head Coach Paula Congleton is looking forward to coaching a full squad of outstanding players from Arizona, Colorado, and Northern and Southern California.

Vanessa has worked hard this fall to increase her strength and range as a Short Stop and has stepped up with Michelle as Co-Captain.

Also a very talented player, Sara also has outfield experience that will
help the Vaqueros' defensive strength.

we are looking for Bianca to put up big numbers in the offensive
category.
In the cirlce this year we have four talented pitchers.
Cierra

has played years of travel ball and has made the transition to throwing
from 43 feet easily. Cierra, along with teammate Barbie Clemons, are
enjoying the beauty and warmth of Santa Barbara after residing in Grand
Junction, Colorado.
