Susan Block brings a strong background in both business and teaching to the Professional Development Center; as well as a knowledge of issues and situations specific to healthcare. Ms. Block has over 20 years of business experience in the areas of business consulting, investment banking and corporate planning. In this capacity, Ms. Block worked with healthcare facilities, medical device firms and healthcare software companies. Susan's background also includes teaching management training seminars and courses for LARTA University as well as teaching business courses at the University of Wisconsin and the University of California Santa Barbara. Ms. Block received an MBA in and a Sin Medical Technology from the University of Wisconsin.

  

Jill Scala, M.A.
Instructor, Professional Development Studies

Jill Scala, tenured faculty, brings her enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of workplace skills into the classroom as a full-time instructor/trainer in the Professional Development Center. Previously, Jill served as the Training Director for Select Personnel Services' corporate offices, where she designed and coordinated workplace training for all Select Remedy permanent employees throughout the state. Jill holds a Master's Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Conflict Management from Pepperdine University.
