Seemann named Athlete of the Week

So Cal Regional champ gets SBART award
Miles Seemann was chosen Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table
on Monday during the weekly press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Café.
The SBCC freshman won five matches to claim the Southern Cal Regional title last
weekend at Irvine Valley. Seemann, a freshman from Santa Ynez High, was the sixth
seed. He upset the No. 3 seed in the quarterfinals and beat No. 4 Parker Kelley of
Desert 6-1, 6-4 for the title.
"It was impressive to see his level of focus throughout the tournament," said coach
Ryan Heinberg.
Seemann is 20-2 on the season. He also reached the doubles semifinals with Joshua
Crisp-Jones in two big tourneys -- The Ojai two weeks ago and the So Cal Regional.
Seemann and Crisp-Jones will represent the Vaqueros in singles and doubles at the
State Finals, starting Thursday at the Balboa Tennis Club in San Diego.
