Welcome to EOPS/CARE
Welcome to the EOPS/CARE PROGRAM at Santa Barbara City College. EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services) is a state-funded, comprehensive support system for qualified low-income students who are enrolled full-time (12 or more units). The goal of the program is to help eligible students meet their educational objectives, whether they seek occupational certificates, associate degrees, or transfer to four-year institutions.
The CARE PROGRAM (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education) at Barbara City Barbara City opportunities provides opportunities for low-income single parents to obtain the skills and education necessary to move from poverty to self-sufficiency.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for financial aid in the form of EOPS GRANTS (combined with other types of state and federal aid), you must: be a California resident; be enrolled as a full-time student (12 units or more per term), have fewer than 70 units of degree applicable college credits; qualify to receive a Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW), and be educationally disadvantaged.
