If I earn an AA/AS degree or certificate, am I eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony?
Yes, students who earn an AA/AS degree or certificate are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony, which is held the final day of the spring semester each year. Students should come into the Academic Counseling Center to have their degree eligibility determined by the published deadline during the semester they will complete the degree requirements. Caps and gowns are available for purchase from the bookstore. Associate Degrees(s) and Certificate(s) of Achievement are posted to your transcript approximately five weeks after the end of each term and will be available for pick up at the Admission and Records Office. Fall diplomas/certificates are available late March; spring diplomas/certificates are available late September; summer diplomas/certificates are available late October. Students eligible to wear the honors tassel (GPA 3.5 and above) can purchase the tassel from the bookstore. Engraved invitations may also be ordered from the bookstore. The graduation ceremony will take place in the Student Services Front Fountain area to accommodate everyone who would like to attend.
Tickets are not required and parking is free for commencement. You and your guests are invited to a reception immediately following commencement. Refreshments are provided compliments of the Campus Center Operation.
