"Be a social entrepreneur. Find a need in society, and figure out
how to fill it and how to get paid for doing it.”
What was your first job?
Flamingo’s Frozen Yogurt on the Mesa.
A famous figure you admire, why?
It may seem cliché to choose Mother Teresa, but she is the epitome of a servant to
others. If everyone took time out of our “busy” lives to care for others as she did,
we would have a more peaceful, loving, and hopeful world. Wow! What a legacy!
What subject do you wish you had paid more attention to in school?
Accounting. Believe it or not, I like balancing my check book and reviewing #’s. Learning
Spanish would have also been a smart choice!
What is the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?
Cow tongue & escargot. Yuck! Can’t say I’m very adventurous when it comes to exotic
food. One of my favorite recent experiences was eating out with my work colleagues
in LA at an Indian restaurant. What an experience! I didn’t really know what we were
eating, but I loved most of it.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Have integrity in your job. You’ll gain respect if people know they can count on you.
