Film and Television

Film Production: Graduates of the Film Production program have the knowledge and skills to enter careers as professionals in the fields of film, video, television and digital media. Depending on which area of specialization they choose to pursue through their electives, students in the Film Production program will graduate with the training necessary to work as screenwriters, cinematographers, directors, editors, producers, special effects artists, production designers and sound engineers. Graduates are also qualified to continue their studies of film in a four-year college or university. The Film Production program at SBCC has an excellent record of course articulation and student transfer to the University of California, Santa Barbara and campuses throughout the CSU system as well as top four-year film schools such as UCLA, USC, AFI and Cal Arts.
